The worst thing about school is...

The worst thing about school is you the fact that even though we don't learn all that much, we're expected to 'apply ourselves' by doing crappy, insane, meaningless homework for grades. Most of the time it's easy stuff the teacher assigns just because they are forced to do something productive (for once....). But other times, it's obvious that they're trying to get teacher revenge or whatever. Like, it's obvious they're doing it just because they secretly (or not so secretly) hate you. For example, my homework this weekend was a powerpoint, a lab, a study guide, and a research paper for biology. This obviously is not necessary, and the teacher knows it, too. Evil, teachers are. Which is why it sucks that my own mother is a teacher. Worse. A 6th grade teacher. This means that she's always in a pissy mood, from one of these likely reasons.

• "The students did something stupid today"
• "I have so many papers to grade tonight..."
• she didn't get to assign any crappy homework to get revenge on the stupid students that make her have to grade so many papers.

And there you are. It's a sucky life.
